Hi, I’m Rachel — founder of CLEcast, attorney, professor, and someone who believes that giving back to communities is an important part of business.
I started my legal career as a criminal prosecutor, first at a local district attorney’s office and later at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Today, I work as a civil litigator, and I previously taught constitutional law at the University of Oregon School of Law, my alma mater.
The idea for CLEcast grew out of my work running a nonprofit I founded in 2016. I quickly learned how difficult it is to secure consistent, reliable funding. A friend mentioned that CLEs are a great way to generate support, and that sparked an idea: a CLE company that supports community nonprofits.
At CLEcast, we create on-demand CLE videos for lawyers and split our net profits with partner nonprofits. It’s a win-win: attorneys get affordable, easy-to-access CLEs, and nonprofits get a sustainable funding stream.
